This is one of my all time fave cookbooks. It has inspired me to cook from scratch and to use fresh herbs and spices. Everything in here is so flavorful. It came out way before the "whole food" trend came... These ladies were way ahead of that game, and for good reason... the food is better, it's better for us and the environment. The recipes have been well tested and every one that I have tried (most) have come out just great. The only one I've had trouble with is the blintz, and perhaps that was user error. This may be the best vegetarian cookbook out there, if not best cookbook of all that I have seen or tried. You can easily add meat to these meals if you prefer, but you may find the food is so good, you won't miss meat at all. This cookbook is from a restaurant in Victoria, B.C., which is also one of my very favorite restaurants too. :) I think this book is out of print now, so get it while you can still find it at a decent price! You won't be dissappointed.
