Love the flavor.While this food may seem expensive on the surface, a little goes a LONG way when you reconstitute it with warm water. I like to add some pieces of cooked chicken as an extra treat. The ingredients are human grade, and my dogs love it. They both had terrible digestive problems, even with the prescription-only foods from the vet. I decided to try this food because a few years ago my dog with kidney disease could not tolerate any food we gave him until we discovered a different variety of food from Dr. Harvey's. It worked out very well for him, and he ate it for the rest of his life. So I felt we had nothing to lose by trying Dr. Harvey's Specialty Diet Allergy Turkey Recipe for our two current dogs, and it has been a blessing. The dogs love it, too. It makes me happy to give them food that is so pure and natural.Dog's loved it but they pooped so much more with this food. From twice a day to 5-6 times. Also need to clean everything after feeding due to raw ingredients. Overall great product just too much prep, poo and clean up, had to switch to something else. As far as allergens my dog still licked his legs so idkVery good food, I feel like it was well prepared and apparently (based off my dog's response)pretty favorable. He ate and licked his entire bowel. However, we ordered the 20lb bag of the allergy free mix. He seemed to more issues when he started to eat this even though he was changing from Probiotic Hollistic Lamb Meal. Also it is very expensive because after feeding him the recommended daily amount (100lb dog), the bag only lasted one week.We choose to go back to our other food and his itching and stuff have improved. Overall a good product, but just didn't work out for my canine.My dog did not like themI love the natural ingredients such as turkey and vegetables. My dog went through different dog foods, but he would have runs, bite at his butt constantly. I felt so bad for the little guy. Then I came across Dr Harvey's dog food. I purchased the sample and not only did Bentley love the food, he didn't bite at his butt, no more runs. and he's happy with energy! I have found a food that works for him! Thank you Dr Harvey !I have three small dogs and one of the three sufferers from Immunocompromised bowel disease (IBD), diagnosed by their veterinarian. The Vet’s recommendation was turkey diet due to anti inflammatory properties found in turkey may control exacerbation of IBD. I been feeding all three dogs Dr Harvey’s for 10 months, all love the flavor, to date no IBD flare ups and all have lost weight. Excellent quality.What you get for the price is very little. I used this as a supplement with other food we made for our dog. I will not purchase again. The quality was fine .. just the portion size for price that was really bad.
